Dove

The dove is the bird of Venus and Aphrodite, and later the image of the Holy Spirit and of peace. Agrippa calls the pigeon dedicated to Venus, and the Golden Dawn sets the dove on Venus's path. It stands for gentle love, devotion, and reconciliation.

Working with it

Call on the dove on a Friday. Light a pink or green candle with a rose, write the name of someone you want to reconcile with, and ask the dove to carry a message of peace. A white feather from a domestic dove makes a good altar token.
