Eagle

The eagle flies closest to the Sun and sees farthest, which makes it the bird of kings, of Zeus and Jupiter, and of spiritual vision. Agrippa dedicates it to Jupiter, the Golden Dawn places it on Jupiter's path, and as a Cherub it also stands for the higher form of Scorpio. It means sovereignty, perspective, and rising above.

Working with it

Work with the eagle on a Thursday or Sunday, ideally from a high place. Visualize rising on its back until the problem in front of you looks small, then ask what you can see from there that you couldn't before. A royal blue or gold candle suits it.
