Horse

The horse is speed, freedom, and the power that carries us between worlds. Agrippa assigns it to Mars and to Sagittarius, and the Golden Dawn places it on the paths of Sagittarius and Mars. Shamans ride it in trance, and Sleipnir carried Odin between realms.

Uses

• Travel and journeys
• Freedom and momentum
• Courage and strength
• Trance and spirit journeying

Working with it

Work with the horse on a Tuesday or Thursday. Drum or play a steady galloping rhythm, close your eyes, and visualize mounting a horse that knows the way. Ask it to carry you toward what you need, and note where it takes you.
