Swan

The swan is beauty, grace, and devotion: swans mate for life. Agrippa gives it to both the Sun and Venus, and the Golden Dawn places it on Venus's path. Zeus took swan form to court Leda, and swans were said to sing beautifully only at death.

Uses

• Love and lasting partnership
• Beauty and grace
• Transformation
• Intuition and dreams

Working with it

Work with the swan on a Friday or by water. Visualize gliding across still water while everything below the surface keeps paddling; ask for grace under effort. A white feather and a green candle suit a love working.
