Virgin

In 777 the creature of Virgo is the Virgin herself: 'Virgin, Anchorite, any solitary person or animal.' Agrippa also places virgins under the celestial Virgin. She is self-contained, devoted, and whole in herself, like the Hermit card on the same path.

Uses

• Solitude and self-sufficiency
• Purification and dedication
• Healing and service
• Meditation and retreat

Working with it

Work with the Virgin on a Wednesday by spending a period in deliberate solitude. Clean and order your altar, light a single white or brown candle, and sit in silence. Ask what you would devote yourself to if no one were watching.
