Sacred figure1 tradition
In Christian mysticism Christ is the Sun of righteousness (Malachi 4:2), the Light of the World, and the Logos, the Word through which all things were made. Christmas was set at the winter solstice, when the sun is reborn. Christian Cabalists placed Christ at Tiphareth, the solar heart of the Tree of Life.
